Karen's Quirky Style - Chanel display window in Paris

So exciting to see the Chanel shop in Paris. You know I love quirky style, but this look says Chanel is past it. That white dress under the classic Chanel suit is ugly, I’m sorry!

Adding expensive accessories doesn’t redeem the ugliness. IMHO. But the make-up “glasses” on the mannequin is a cool touch…

How did this happen? I went to Paris for the first time in early June. I took the chunnel and arrived in the evening, so my first stop was a jazz club, an underground cavern carved in the rock, Le Caveau de la Huchette. So cool, and people were dancing like crazy. Than a 2 AM crepe from a night stall. Heaven in a cone!

But next day, after bypassing the Louvre, which was swarming with tourists (days after the strike by museum workers concerned about severe overcrowding), I walked through the cobblestoned streets to Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré to see the houses of the big names in fashion. So exciting.

Stay tuned for more pix and stories of Paris.
